Luton Airport is in Bedfordshire, north of London, and its railway station, Luton Airport Parkway, is 26 miles (42 km) from St Pancras by the airport's own figure. Most people who sleep out here have a flight in the first wave. Bag drop opens two hours before departure, and the last train that gets you there in time for a 6am flight leaves St Pancras at 03:44, so for anything before about 7am a bed at the airport is the sane choice. For a later flight, stay in London: the train from St Pancras takes 22 to 45 minutes to Parkway, so the King's Cross and St Pancras hotels put you at the right station, and the London where-to-stay guide weighs every area. Leaving from another London airport instead? There are pages for Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick too. My short answer at Luton: the Holiday Inn Express for a dawn flight with breakfast included, the Holiday Inn for park-and-fly, the ibis for the cheapest walk to check-in, and the Courtyard for a quiet room with breakfast from 4:30am.
There's one terminal, so the page is laid out by how you get to it. First come the four hotels on Airport Way, Percival Way and Spittlesea Road, a 10 to 16-minute walk from check-in. None runs a shuttle, so it's your feet or a taxi. Then two near Luton Airport Parkway, where you walk to the station and take the DART, then two in Luton town centre, and finally two country houses 20-odd minutes' drive away for a flight later in the day. For every hotel you get the way to check-in, the parking or park-and-fly offer, the earliest breakfast, the downside and a dated rate. Luton Hoo, the grand country-house hotel just south of the airport, is closed for refurbishment with no reopening date, so it isn't here.
Every rate is a double for two adults on the night of Tuesday 10 November 2026, including VAT, taken on 25 September 2026 from the hotel's own website, except the Courtyard, Hampton by Hilton and Farmhouse at Redcoats, which are Booking.com prices. The range runs from £60 at the Premier Inn in town to £329 with breakfast at Sopwell House. Treat them as a guide for comparing hotels, and check your own night before you commit, especially for a school-holiday departure.
