The car park is £35 a day, subject to space, and pets are £15 a night. Charing Cross station is two minutes' walk and Embankment three.
The Best Aparthotels and Serviced Apartments in London (2026)
Twenty-five London aparthotels and serviced apartments you can book by the night, each with a staffed desk or someone on call around the clock. For each you get the kitchen, the laundry, how often they clean, the minimum stay, how check-in works, how many it sleeps, and a dated rate for two and for four.
Aparthotels and serviced apartments in London a kitchen, a washing machine and someone at the desk
An aparthotel earns its place in London when there are four of you, when you're staying a week, or when you'd rather make breakfast than pay £10 to £25 a head for it. For a couple on a two-night break it rarely saves money, because most of these don't clean on short stays and the studio costs about what a hotel room does. My short answer: Citadines Trafalgar Square for a family who wants to walk to everything, SACO Holborn for two real bedrooms at the lowest central price, Wilde Covent Garden for a couple, and Citadines South Kensington for the museums. Still choosing a neighbourhood? Read where to stay in London.
Every building here has staff on a desk or a round-the-clock support line, its own website, and takes short stays; private flats, monthly lets and co-living buildings aren't included. Each card gives the kitchen (a full kitchen or a kitchenette, and which rooms have none), the washing arrangements, the cleaning schedule, any minimum stay, how check-in works and how many the biggest unit sleeps. Rates are for Tuesday 10 November 2026, one night, for two people and for four adults in one unit, checked 27 September 2026 unless the card gives another date, and each card says whether the figure came from the operator's own site or Booking.com. Prices include 20% VAT and London has no tourist tax yet. The cards run by area: the West End and Covent Garden, the City, Aldgate and Islington, Kensington and west, south of the river, then east London.
Apartments for four are the first to sell out. Around Christmas, through the school summer holidays and on major concert and football nights, rates can run well above these November figures, so book summer stays three months or more ahead.
Citadines Trafalgar Square London
The West End and Covent Garden. Six buildings between Trafalgar Square, Holborn, Soho and Victoria, the part of London where you can walk to most of the sights. Citadines Trafalgar Square is my pick for a family: an old building on Northumberland Avenue, two minutes from Charing Cross station and four from the square itself, with studios, one-bedroom apartments that sleep four and two-bedrooms for six, every one with a kitchen and dishwasher. The one-bedroom for four was £356 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, a good price for a street off Trafalgar Square. A studio for two was £272. The rest of the neighbourhood is in the best hotels in Covent Garden.
The four-person layout is a double bedroom plus a sofa bed in the living room, so two of you sleep on the sofa bed. Cleaning is only included on stays of a week or more; before that it's £25 to £30 a visit. The car park, £35 a day, is a rare thing at this address.
Wilde Covent Garden
Wilde Covent Garden, on Adam Street between the Strand and the river, is the one I'd book for a couple. It's rated 4.9 on Google from more than 4,700 reviews, the reception never closes, and the Savoy, the Adelphi theatre and Charing Cross are all a few minutes away. A Studio with a kitchenette was £324 on Wilde's own site for Tuesday 10 November, and stays of a week or more get 20% off. There's more on the Strand in the Covent Garden hotels guide.
It doesn't work for four: the biggest unit, a Superior Studio, takes three. The cheapest room type, the Wilde Bedroom, has no kitchen at all, and the Hideaway rooms have no windows. There's no food, bar or laundry room in the building, and there's no scheduled cleaning under a week. Online check-in before you arrive is compulsory.
Book the Studio, not the cheaper Wilde Bedroom, if you want to cook, and avoid the Hideaway rooms, which have no windows. No pets.
Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden London
Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden on High Holborn is two minutes from Holborn station (Central and Piccadilly lines) and ten from the British Museum, with a 24-hour desk, a launderette and air conditioning. Its Executive One-Bedroom Apartment is the roomiest one-bedroom Citadines sells in the West End, at 50 square metres, and it was £449 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. A Classic Studio for two was £326. More options nearby in the best hotels in Bloomsbury.
It faces a main road, so light sleepers should ask for a room at the back. The car park is closed for renovation. Like the other Citadines, it cleans weekly on stays of seven nights or more and charges £25 to £35 for a clean before then.
The Classic Studio is the same 25 sq m as the Executive, so book the cheaper one. The car park is closed for renovation; pets are £15 a night.
SACO Holborn - Lamb's Conduit Street
SACO Holborn on Lamb's Conduit Street has the cheapest two real bedrooms of the central buildings here. For Tuesday 10 November a Two-Bedroom Apartment for four was £332 non-refundable on Booking.com, less than most one-bedrooms here, and studios were £256. The apartments have full kitchens and their own washer-dryer, and some two-bedrooms have two bathrooms. Lamb's Conduit Street has independent shops and pubs, and Russell Square station is seven minutes' walk. See the Bloomsbury hotels guide for the area.
The catch is the service. Reception is staffed from 8am to 7pm, with self check-in after that, the apartments are spread over more than one building, and cleaning is weekly only on stays of a week or more. Google has only about 110 reviews, rated 4.1. Parking can be requested but isn't guaranteed.
Apartments are spread across more than one building, so ask which one you're in. Parking on site is on request and not guaranteed; a dog up to 30 kg can come for a fee.
37GS Residences
37GS Residences on Golden Square is the upmarket Soho choice: 22 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with full kitchens, a washer and dryer in each, a lift and a 24-hour reception. It also cleans daily: bookings made from 1 May 2026 get a daily maid service, with linen changed every four nights. Piccadilly Circus is three minutes' walk. On its own booking site one-bedrooms start at £362 a night and two-bedrooms at £469. Soho's hotels are in the best hotels in Soho, London.
There's no restaurant or breakfast, and the £750 card deposit taken on arrival is steep. With only 22 apartments, the family-sized ones sell out early in the school holidays. No pets.
It's 22 apartments, so the two-bedrooms go first; book early for school holidays. No pets.
The July London Victoria
The July London Victoria opened in July 2025 on Vauxhall Bridge Road, four minutes from Victoria station, and is more hotel than most of these: a restaurant and bar called The Idler, a gym and sauna, a laundry room and housekeeping included. Every apartment has a kitchen. A Studio for two was £308 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and the 47-square-metre Family Apartment £616. It's rated 4.8 on Google. The rest of Victoria is in the Victoria and Westminster hotels guide.
The Family Apartment is built for two adults and two children, so four adults are better off elsewhere. The two- and three-bedroom suites with their own washer-dryers are only let for long stays. At £616 for four it's one of the dearer family options here, and the lead guest has to be 21.
The Family Apartment is two connected spaces with their own beds, which suits parents and children better than four adults. Victoria station is four minutes' walk.
Cheval Three Quays
The City, Aldgate and Islington. Five buildings from the Tower to Islington. City rates fall at weekends, when the offices empty. Cheval Three Quays is for a family or group who want a hotel's service with a flat's space: 159 apartments on Lower Thames Street two minutes from the Tower of London, with daily housekeeping, a washer-dryer and full kitchen in every flat, a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour gym. It's rated 4.7 on Google from about 700 reviews. A Superior One Bedroom Apartment was £582 on Cheval's own site for Tuesday 10 November, and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for four £748 on Booking.com. The area's hotels are in the best hotels in the City of London.
It's expensive on a weekday, when the City is full. A Superior One Bedroom Apartment was £388 on Cheval's own site for Saturday 14 November, so a weekend is the better buy. Dogs up to 25 kg can stay for a £50-a-night cleaning fee.
Pay for a Tower View apartment if the budget stretches. Dogs up to 25 kg are welcome for a £50-a-night cleaning fee, and a card pre-authorisation of £60 a day (up to £420) is taken at check-in.
Citadines Barbican London
Citadines Barbican on Goswell Road suits a family going to the Barbican Centre or working in the City. It's three minutes from Barbican station and nine from Farringdon's Elizabeth line, handy for the Barbican Centre, Smithfield and St Paul's, 14 minutes' walk. Its one-bedroom apartment for four, a king bed plus a sofa bed in 45 square metres, was £458 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and a studio for two £357. There's a launderette, a 24-hour reception and parking at £35 a day. More in the City of London hotels guide.
On a Tuesday it costs more than Citadines' Trafalgar Square building, which is closer to the sights. Cleaning follows the Citadines rule: weekly from seven nights, £20 to £30 a visit otherwise.
Parking is £35 a day, subject to space, and pets are £20 a night. Barbican station is three minutes' walk and Farringdon, for the Elizabeth line, nine.
Wilde Aparthotels, London, Aldgate Tower Bridge
Wilde Aldgate Tower Bridge on Commercial Road has the lowest four-person price in the City: an Apartment with City View for four was £370 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and a studio for two £238. Every unit has a kitchen, and there's a laundry room, a bar and a breakfast station, with a 4.7 on Google from more than 1,600 reviews. Aldgate East station is six minutes' walk. The City side is in the best hotels in the City of London.
Despite the name, the Tower is about 15 minutes on foot. As at the other Wildes, there's no cleaning on stays under a week unless you pay, and online check-in is required before you arrive.
The accessible large studio also sleeps four, at £390. Aldgate East station is six minutes' walk.
Leman Locke Aldgate
Leman Locke suits a couple or a work trip east of the City. It's two minutes from Aldgate East and 13 from Liverpool Street, with 171 studios and suites designed around a café and bar on the ground floor, a communal laundry and a 24-hour front desk. A Deluxe Studio was £239 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, a One Bedroom Suite £279, and the Family Apartment for four £422. It's rated 4.4 on Google from about 870 reviews. More in the City of London hotels guide.
The Family Apartment is one open space with a double bed and a sofa bed, so the one-bedroom suite plus a studio may suit four adults better. The weekly clean only starts on stays of seven nights or more, and it costs extra. Parking is £40 a night.
Parking is £40 a night, reserved ahead, and one dog up to 30 kg is welcome for a fee. Aldgate East station is two minutes' walk and Liverpool Street 13.
Citadines Islington London
Citadines Islington is north of the City, in a 1907 Royal Mail sorting office in the Islington Square development off Upper Street. Every studio and apartment has a full kitchen, and there's a 24-hour reception, lifts, a gym and a self-service laundry. A studio was £238 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. It's 12 minutes on foot to Angel or to Highbury & Islington, so it suits a longer stay with Upper Street's restaurants on the doorstep. The area is covered in the Camden and Islington hotels guide.
The one-bedroom is sold for up to four, but booking sites may offer it for three (£376 on Booking.com), so book four people direct with Citadines. Cleaning is weekly from seven nights and £25 to £30 before then. Taxis struggle with the gated entrance.
Send your taxi a map pin: the gated Islington Square entrance is easy to miss. Angel and Highbury & Islington stations are each 12 minutes' walk. Pets are £15 a night.
Citadines South Kensington London
Kensington and west. Four buildings, two of them within ten minutes of the museums. Citadines South Kensington on Gloucester Road is my pick for a family on a budget: a One-Bedroom Apartment for four was £280 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and a Deluxe Studio for four £245. That's the lowest four-person price in Zone 1 here. A studio for two was £183. Gloucester Road station is six minutes' walk and the Natural History Museum ten. The rest of the area is in the best hotels in Kensington.
It's rated 4.1 on Google from about 260 reviews, lower than Cheval up the road, and the Deluxe Studio puts four people in one 28-square-metre room. Cleaning is weekly from seven nights, and breakfast comes from a partner coffee bar rather than a restaurant.
For four, pay the extra £35 for the one-bedroom, which puts the second pair in a separate living room. Gloucester Road station is six minutes' walk and the Natural History Museum ten. Pets £15 a night.
Cheval Harrington Court
Cheval Harrington Court is two minutes from South Kensington station and six from the Natural History Museum. It's for a family who want daily cleaning and separate bedrooms: 46 apartments, each with a washer-dryer, air conditioning and a full kitchen with an oven. The front office is open around the clock. A Superior Two Bedroom Apartment for four was £627 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and the open-plan one-bedroom for two £360. More in the Kensington hotels guide.
It's more than twice the price of Citadines on Gloucester Road for four, so you're paying for daily cleaning, separate bedrooms and the address. There's no restaurant; breakfast is a hamper you pre-order.
The open-plan one-bedroom is closer to a studio than two rooms, so a family should book the two-bedroom. Pets are welcome for a one-off cleaning fee. South Kensington station is two minutes' walk.
Residence Inn by Marriott London Kensington
Residence Inn by Marriott London Kensington on Warwick Road, 11 minutes from Earl's Court station, is one of three here with breakfast included, and it has the most Google reviews, 4.6 from more than 5,300. Suites have full kitchens with an oven and dishwasher, there's a communal laundry and a 24-hour gym, and the Two Bedroom Suite, two double bedrooms plus a sofa bed, was £421 with breakfast and free cancellation on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. A studio suite for two was £238. Earl's Court is covered in the Kensington hotels guide.
It's on a busy road at the Olympia end of Earl's Court, 19 minutes' walk from High Street Kensington, so you'll use the Tube to reach the museums. Marriott doesn't publish its cleaning schedule, so ask if it matters.
The two-bedroom suite sleeps five with the sofa bed. Pets are allowed; ask the fee when you book. Earl's Court station is 11 minutes' walk.
Wilde, London, Paddington
Wilde Paddington on Paddington Basin is the one for arriving on the Heathrow Express or the Elizabeth line. Paddington's platforms are ten minutes' walk, with parking on site, a laundry, a gym, and cots and high chairs at no charge. It's rated 4.8 on Google from about 3,600 reviews. The One-Bedroom Apartment for four was £522 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November and a studio for two £305. More in the Paddington hotels guide.
That's a lot for four compared with Citadines South Kensington. No cleaning under a week unless you pay £25 to £35, and online check-in is compulsory.
Add the on-site parking and the free cot and high chair when you book. Paddington's platforms are ten minutes' walk; Edgware Road's Bakerloo line is five.
Marlin Waterloo
South of the river. Six buildings from Waterloo to Greenwich. Marlin Waterloo suits a family seeing the South Bank sights. It's two minutes from Lambeth North station and eight from Waterloo, with a 24-hour reception, a gym and a bar. A Deluxe Studio for two was £341 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and the Deluxe Suite, with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed, £481 for four. The London Eye is 11 minutes' walk. More on Waterloo in the South Bank and Waterloo hotels guide.
Read the room name. The Classic and Premium Rooms have no kitchen, and the £400 Deluxe Studio for four is one room with a queen bed and a sofa bed. Marlin doesn't publish its cleaning schedule, early check-in isn't offered, and there are no pets.
Read the room name: Classic and Premium Rooms have a fridge and coffee machine but no kitchen. Lambeth North station is two minutes' walk. No pets.
Native Bankside
Native Bankside is for a couple who want character by the river: a converted Victorian tea warehouse on Bear Gardens, a minute from Shakespeare's Globe and seven from Tate Modern and Borough Market. Apartments have kitchens, dishwashers and washer-dryers, and run from 20-square-metre studios to an 81-square-metre two-bedroom that sleeps five. The cheapest studio was about £413 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. See the London Bridge hotels guide for the rest of Bankside.
Reception keeps opening hours, with a 24-hour support line on WhatsApp or phone after that, and online check-in is required. There's no cleaning at all on stays of a week or less. The two-bedroom is the only unit for four, so book it early.
No parking and no restaurant. Book the two-bedroom well ahead if you need it; it's the only unit that takes a family of four.
Bermonds Locke Tower Bridge
Bermonds Locke suits a family who want Borough Market for the shopping. It's on Tower Bridge Road, with 143 studios and apartments with kitchens, a gym, a yoga studio, a courtyard and a bar, nine minutes' walk from Tower Bridge and 11 from London Bridge station. The Family Apartment for four was £372 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and the cheapest studio about £277. Borough Market is 17 minutes away. More in the best hotels near London Bridge.
The family unit is a double bed and a sofa bed, and cleaning is weekly only on stays of a week or more, at a charge. There's no parking and no Tube station close by.
Ask for a City Studio with the skyline view on the sixth floor. No parking; one dog up to 30 kg is welcome for a fee.
Residence Inn by Marriott London Tower Bridge
Residence Inn by Marriott London Tower Bridge on Bermondsey Street suits a work trip or a couple who want breakfast done: an all-suite hotel with breakfast included, full kitchens with an oven, a 24-hour desk and a 24-hour gym, ten minutes' walk from London Bridge station. The cheapest suite for two was about £362 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. The area is in the London Bridge hotels guide.
For four it's the dearest option south of the river: the Deluxe Studio Suite, two double beds and a sofa bed in one room, was £687 with breakfast. The one-bedroom suite takes only three. Housekeeping is weekly, and there's no parking.
The one-bedroom suite tops out at three, so four need the big studio suite. No parking. London Bridge station is ten minutes' walk.
Staybridge Suites London - Vauxhall
Staybridge Suites Vauxhall suits a couple staying a week on a quiet street: 30-square-metre studio suites with kitchens, a hot breakfast included, a light clean every weekday and a 24-hour desk, eight minutes from Vauxhall station. A Studio Suite was £263 prepaid on IHG's own site for Tuesday 10 November, or £236.70 for members of IHG's free scheme. It's rated 4.6 on Google. South London's other hotels are in the Brixton, Clapham and Battersea hotels guide.
It won't take four: the one-bedroom suite is sold for three at most, and there are no extra beds. Laundry is paid, and small dogs cost £36 a night.
Join IHG's free scheme before booking for about 10% off. Small dogs under 22 kg are allowed for £36 a night. Vauxhall station is eight minutes' walk.
Staycity Aparthotels, London, Greenwich High Road
Staycity Greenwich High Road is six minutes from Greenwich station and rated 4.7 on Google from more than 2,700 reviews. The One-Bedroom Apartment for four was £295 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and a studio for two £184 on Staycity's own site. There's a 24-hour reception and a car park at £13 a night, booked ahead. For concerts at The O2, see the hotels near The O2 guide.
The one-bedroom is open plan, so the bedroom isn't fully separate. There's no cleaning under a week unless you pay, and laundry costs extra. Check the pet policy before you bring a dog.
Parking is £13 a night and must be booked ahead. Check the pet policy with reception before you bring a dog. Greenwich station is six minutes' walk.
Locke London Canary Wharf
East London. Four buildings in Canary Wharf and Stratford, both on the Elizabeth line. Locke London Canary Wharf at Wood Wharf is six minutes from the Elizabeth line, with a kitchen, dishwasher and washer-dryer in every studio, a gym and a café-bar. The Family Apartment for four was £299 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and a Superior Studio £269 on Locke's own site. More in the Canary Wharf hotels guide.
The family unit is 31 square metres with a double bed and a sofa bed, fine for children and tight for four adults. Cleaning is weekly and there's no parking. The building is new, with just over 110 Google reviews.
Pay about £13 more for a Deluxe Studio with a marina view. Dogs are £40 a stay; no parking. Canary Wharf's Elizabeth line station is six minutes' walk.
Fraser Place Canary Wharf
Fraser Place Canary Wharf on Boardwalk Place by Blackwall Basin is the east London pick for two proper bedrooms: its 78-square-metre 2-Bedroom Deluxe Apartment was £371 on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. The one-bedroom for four was £306 and a studio for two about £226. Most apartments have a washing machine, some have marina balconies, and parking is £12 a day. Blackwall DLR is eight minutes' walk. See the Canary Wharf hotels guide.
Summer is the catch: the apartments have fans, not air conditioning. Check-in isn't until 4pm, Fraser doesn't publish a cleaning schedule, and pets aren't allowed.
Ask for a balcony apartment facing the marina. Parking is £12 a day, no pets, and there's no air conditioning (fans are provided). Blackwall DLR is eight minutes' walk.
Aparthotel Adagio London Stratford
Aparthotel Adagio London Stratford in the East Village is two minutes from Stratford International and 12 from Westfield. It had the lowest four-person price here: a One-Bedroom Apartment with a sofa bed was £199 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November, and a studio £173. Every unit has a kitchen with an induction hob and dishwasher, there's a 24-hour reception and a gym, and children under 16 get breakfast free with a paying adult. More in the Stratford hotels guide.
There's no conventional oven, only a microwave, and cleaning is extra on stays up to seven nights. The car park is temporarily closed.
The hotel's car park is temporarily closed; the NCP on International Way is nearby. Pets are accepted. Stratford International is two minutes' walk.
Roomzzz Aparthotel London Stratford
Roomzzz London Stratford on West Ham Lane is the cheapest couple's option here: a 17-square-metre Neo Studio was £152 non-refundable on Booking.com for Tuesday 10 November. It includes a free grab-and-go breakfast and a free laundry room. There's a 24-hour reception, on-site parking at £15 a night, and it's rated 4.6 on Google. The Liberty Suites of one to three bedrooms, with an oven and washer-dryer, sleep up to six and are sold on Roomzzz's own site. More in the Stratford hotels guide.
The Neo Studio is small and has no dishwasher, so the £161 Smart Studio is worth it for more than a night or two. Stratford station is 11 minutes' walk.
Pay the £9 for a Smart Studio if you want a dishwasher. On-site parking is £15 a night, first come first served, and pets are £20 a night. Stratford station is 11 minutes' walk.
The apartment for you
A family who wants to walk everywhere: Citadines Trafalgar Square, £356 for a one-bedroom that sleeps four.
Two real bedrooms in the centre: SACO Holborn, £332 for a two-bedroom apartment.
Museums on a budget: Citadines South Kensington, £280 for a one-bedroom for four.
A couple in the West End: Wilde Covent Garden, £324 for a studio.
Cleaned every day: Cheval Harrington Court, Cheval Three Quays or 37GS Residences, or Roomzzz on stays under a week.
Breakfast included: Residence Inn Kensington (£238) or Staybridge Suites Vauxhall (£263).
Lowest price for four: Aparthotel Adagio London Stratford, £199 for a one-bedroom.
Lowest price for two: Roomzzz London Stratford, £152 for a studio.
What an aparthotel doesn't do
Cleaning. The two Chevals and 37GS Residences clean daily, Roomzzz does too on stays under a week, and Staybridge Suites does a light clean on weekdays. Citadines, Wilde, Staycity, Native and Adagio leave you to it for the first week unless you pay (£20 to £35 a clean at Citadines and Wilde), and Locke cleans weekly.
Four people in one room. Marlin's Deluxe Studio, Residence Inn Tower Bridge's big studio suite, Citadines South Kensington's Deluxe Studio and the Locke family apartments put four in one space. For two real bedrooms, look at SACO Holborn, Citadines Trafalgar Square's two-bedroom (£555), Fraser Place, Cheval Harrington Court, Cheval Three Quays, 37GS Residences or Residence Inn Kensington.
No unit for four at all. Wilde Covent Garden and Staybridge Suites Vauxhall both top out at three. Native Bankside's two-bedroom and Roomzzz's suites need booking ahead.
Nobody at the desk. SACO Holborn's reception closes at 7pm and Native Bankside runs a phone and WhatsApp line out of hours. Wilde, Staycity and Native require online check-in before you arrive.
Parking. Citadines Trafalgar Square and Barbican (£35 a day), Leman Locke (£40 a night), Staycity Greenwich (£13), Fraser Place (£12), Roomzzz (£15), Citadines South Kensington, Wilde Paddington and SACO Holborn (on request) have spaces, several subject to availability. Locke Canary Wharf, Bermonds Locke, Native, Staybridge and both Residence Inns have none.
Apartments I left out
Hyatt House London Stratford has kitchenettes and a restaurant, but every room is sold for two people at most (Stratford hotels). Staycity's Dalston building also tops out at two (Shoreditch hotels). ARK in Wembley is co-living rather than a serviced apartment, and whole-flat lets with key safes and no support line aren't here at all.
Prices, dates and the rest of the trip
These figures are for one quiet Tuesday in November and will move, so price your own dates before you book. Booking.com totals include taxes and charges, but going direct often gets a member rate, a longer-stay discount or a later check-out. London has no tourist tax yet, and VAT is already in the price.
